And in living... it seems there is always something lacking: this detail is missing; this one remains to be done, that remains to be completed…
It seems that the course of life is a permanent doing in... “what remains to be done”, without knowing the quantity, quality or demand –in general- of that “missing”; of that “lack”.
If we place ourselves in Creation –which is where we are- and we expose our qualities, our “wisdoms” –so arrogant-... as soon as we become aware of our orb of action, we will realise that there is a whole unapproachable contingent... that we are unaware of; that is not in our dimension, but that affects us.
And what is the usual attitude of the being?
Wanting to cover all the possibilities, with the feeling of having them at reach. And what one has at reach –in feelings- is that one is in an infinite immensity! And instead of –”instead of”- going, doing, being... according to the dictation of one's own ability, and the Infinite allows, one assumes or adopts the arrogant position of mastery, of control, of capability. There is always something left: the feeling of... “incompleteness”; that can be stimulating –it can be stimulating- but it can also be frustrating.
The Sense and the Prayerful Call place us in the perspective of being aware of our very, very, very little capability, if we try to compare it with the awe of where we are.
That should give us an attitude of humility, wonder and curiosity! –of course-, but not possessive, not resolute.
And it's not about feeling “limited”. No! If I inhabit an unlimited Universe, I am also unlimited, but in proportion.
To assume the proportion of smallness... in the amplified Universe –which is also permanently amplified, within the little knowledge we have-....
The consciousness of 'limitlessness'... must remain, but it must not drive us to dominance, to control.
Our consciousness was configured in such a way that, in order to live, it had to be wining, conquering, having, and dominating. And everything was never enough, as exuberance around and its surroundings were evident.
Hence it was always lacking, due to the ambition to possess everything! Hence sages rush, looking for a law, “The Law of Everything”, that explains everything, that makes us capable of creating, destroying, developing... what we call “life”, in its different ways.
But what we observe with the vision of our, capabilities, of our acquired achievements: we discover ourselves in this ghetto of Universe, with infinite speculations, aspiring to annul the Mystery.
Instead of –in the face of the obvious lack and lack and lack- assuming oneself IN the Mystery, the arrogant claim is to make it disappear... and remain with the string of: “Well, if now it is not known, if we do not know... it will be known, it will be”. This attitude of conquest, of achievement; no doubt the result of the magma in which we are: limitless, infinite. But instead of feeling it and living it, fusing with it, the being challenges; competes. And it establishes a system of achievements and acquisitions... that is satisfying at times; while at the same time, it is disappointing.
Could it be –could it be- that this permanent dissatisfaction of achievement and possession, in the face of the impossibility of collecting everything!, gestated death? As a space, like an instant of another different way of life, from the anxious, ambitious and... unsuccessfully possessive one.
Is it consciousness, in its developing way, the one that leads... –due to permanent dissatisfaction of what is lacking, but at the same time with the pride of what it achieves-, the one that induces another state of consciousness... totally unknown, but places life in “limit”; it places it in a limited space...?
The whole impulse of being in the Infinite, when it discovers it is not possible to possess it..., the consciousness is downcast and resorts to a limit. When it turns out that its position is unlimited.
And so, it is established that “everything has its beginning and its end”, that “everything has its growth and its decrease”... Thus, we become “Gauss” –like the vital curve of all processes- “although”... although we know and see that this is not how the Universe we are in works, in which functions and activities are transformed, converted, expanded, transfigured... but they remain; with a different configuration, giving us a sign of its eternity.
But it is not contemplated like that. No. It is contemplated that such a star collides with such a star, and it is destroyed and disappears, and a black hole appears and...
And it “ends”.
And there is no such “end”. There is a transformative transfiguration, a mutation without proportions, of an unfathomable… Mystery.
But the being, in its consciousness, in order to manage itself and its environment and its surroundings, resorts to “the terminal” as an inevitable process.
The Prayerful Sense calls for the need of configuring our consciousness... and setting aside its borders and limits, so one can really feel in the Mystery, participate in it –because it is Mystery- and be permanently creative.
